Illegal timber action in Paris
Greenpeace activists deliver a 4 tons and 8.5 meters long illegal tropical timber log in front of the Ministry of Ecology in France. Activists, wearing uniforms of “Brigade de Vérification de Bois” (BVB) hold banners reading “illegal timber: the government doesn’t care” and “illegal timber: two years of inaction.” This action comes two years after the entry into force on 3 March 2013 Timber Regulations of the European Union, meant to stop imports of illegal timber in Europe.
